Thanks to all who came out for this excellent event. We had 25 men and boys in attendance. Special thanks to our district chaplain, Pastor Dwan Newsome, for a devotion reminding us of the importance of being thankful; Mike Ardeno, our Activities Coordinator for preparing some great meals; and to all who prepared materials and presentations. The materials and documents presented are available for download on our Teams site. Please contact your sectional commander or the district communication coordinator for access. The weather was a bit on the cold side, but the farmhouse and the meeting room were good refuge from the cold.
We have two possibilities for ongoing training to get certifications
1. Range Safety Officer training – We have a number of men at Newville AG who would like to get certified. Anthony Cannella from NY (NRA certified instructor) is willing to come train us. It will be a one-day course. The cost is $100, but the district will pay ½ the cost if you are doing it to serve the boys. We can aim for Jan or Feb, please contact Chad Hetrick if you are interested and we’ll try to get something scheduled.
2. Mike Warner is willing to give additional Climbing Wall training at Shrewsbury AG in their gym. This could be a Saturday or possibly a Sunday after the service. The district can provide lunch. Let Mike and/or Steve Steffel know if you are interested in getting trained so we can get something on the schedule.
