April 1 – Work Day

Joe Brockmeyer and Rodney Shuey installed a fuel pump in the diesel tank, lower barn – we purchased that diesel at $1.69/gallon
Rodney Shuey, George Pentz, Wyatt Heller prepping the the 15’ Batwing finish mower and 8’ mower.  Blades sharpened, greased, oil checked and tested out. The batwing seems to work well.  Hydraulics fold it up nicely.

April 4 – continued work on entrance wall

Ron Adlesic and Steve Steffel continue work on the entrance wall.

April 14 – Work on interior shower walls and entrance wall

Rich Morrow finishing a shower dividing wall for 2nd Quad being expertly assisted by Ian, Isaac mixing mortar and Jess cutting block to fit.  They have come up a number of Fridays – – a great team.  Geroge Pentz mowed the grass using the new John Deere zero turn and Kubota tractor with 8’ deck.

April 15 – Entrance wall work, excavation for electric to wall

Ron Adlesic and Andy Baker in discussion.  We are very thankful for their expertise – masonry and excavation and volunteering time and equipment.
Andy Baker, Ron Adlesic, George Pentz and Steve Steffel work on the entrance wall.  A wet day in the morning – but when the going gets tough, the tough get going – a lot was accomplished on the entrance.  Back filling and trenching for electric pipe. All block inside columns done.

April 21-23 FCF Spring Trace

April 28 – Rich Morrow, George Pentz, Steve Steffel and Jadon Culp work on shower walls (correcting a vent pipe) and Sally Steffel works on painting gray trim in kitchen.  Also, working to organize shelving and storage in basement.
Kitchen renewal nearing completion for upcoming PowWow.

May 1-3 – Summit Conference

May 13 – Sewer Pipe installation

The pipe system includes a clean out, pipe for dump station and has capability of tying in future kitchen.
Andy Baker, Mike Ardeno, George Pentz and Jadon Culp install 6” sewer line and two 1” electrical pipes to the back of the shower house where the septic tanks will be.

May 26-28 – SCW Sectional PowWow and Group from Newville Assembly

May 26-29  A group from Newville Assembly of God enjoy the RV area

May 26-28 – South Central West enjoys sectional PowWow with barbeque chicken on the menu.

June 10 Workday

June 23-25 – PennDel Royal Ranger PowWow

Climbing Wall, Water Slide, swimming hole in creek beyond end of slide, and Outpost 198 – winner of site inspection.  Over 250 attended.
Dan Fuller in the”new” kitchen and in the basement with ice machine, and commercial refrigerators and freezers.  “Tyco” not only showed the boys armor but demonstrated.  Pat and John preparing potatoes.
The Ranger Kids have a great program each year, thanks to some great leaders.  If you are interested in serving, please let us know.
Top Expedition Rangers with awards.  Saber Ceremony – Eli Craft receiving his saber. Water baptism – 18 boys were baptized.  Boys and leaders getting a ride in the trailer.
Evangelists Dan and Mariah Boll ministered.  Kevin, Andrew and Kenny led worship.  The general store proved to be the go to place.

Jason and Chris after PowWow emptying the green storage trailer – -it has reached end of life and to add to the leaks, a branch came through the roof – see lower picture.  Both trailers are shot and will need to be pulled out.  Lets get the shower house done so we can get moving on a permanent solution for the pageant area.

June 29 – Continuing work on entrance wall

Ron Adlesic and Steve Steffel work on the entrance – starting on the wall which will have the logos of Royal Rangers and PennDel Royal Rangers plus wording and lighting.  The brick used in the pillars was all donated and the 12” brick for the wall was pennies on the dollar.  White plastic rail will go between the pillars.
